Tres Rios Wetlands

Tres Rios Wetlands review in Phoenix, Arizona

Tres Rios Wetlands 0

Description

Tres Rios Wetlands provides approximately 480 acres of emergent wetland as a habitat for wildlife of many species while productively and naturally purifying water. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their humans on an exploration of this interesting and diverse area owned and operated by the City of Phoenix Water Services Department. You must have a permit to visit the wetlands. Permits are good for three months and can be obtained by contacting Heather Finden at the phone number provided. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times for their own protection and the protection of the wetlands. Because there is no shade, it is best to visit the wetlands in the early portion of the day during warm months, especially if bringing a dog. The trail surface is dirt with small pebbles. There are no drinking fountains onsite, so bring plenty of water for you and your pup.
