Chambers Park at Lake Cuyamaca review in Julian, California

Chambers Park at Lake Cuyamaca is a dog-friendly park in Julian, CA, located about an hour's drive from San Diego. Situated at an elevation of 4600 feet in an Oak and Pine forest, the park's lake is surrounded on three sides by the 26,000 acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. The main trail is an easy, 3.5-mile trail hike from the Chambers Park sign and across the dike to the tall pines on Fletcher Island. Picnic tables surround the lake. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on a trail, as long as all mess is cleaned up after them to preserve the cleanliness of the lake.
