Minneapolis Airport Off Leash Dog Park review in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Just south of Highway 62, 80 acres - mix of open spaces and paths bordering a large swamp/wetland area. This is NOT an official city regulated off-leash dog park. The land is owned by the Metropolitan Airport Commission and borders the airport runways. Not all areas are fenced so dogs should have good recall. While you don't need to have an off-leash permit to let your dog run free here, there are no trash cans, bags or water sources (save the swamp) for the dogs. What your dog poops in, you bring out. Be warned: Since no one is enforcing the stricter regulations of city dog parks, you bring your dog at your own risk. Majority of dog owners are responsible and want the park to be a clean and safe place for dogs to play. That being said, watch where you step and remember if there is a problem with another dog or owner, you are on your own to resolve it.
