Carolyn Meeker Dog Park and Nature Trail review in Lutz, Florida

The Carolyn Meeker Dog Park (aka Lutz Dog Park) is approximately 2 acres and separated into a large dog area and small dog area. A pond sits in between both dog areas. At the main parking area (122 1st Avenue SW) there are entrances for both dog areas and the nature trail. The main parking lot is graveled, has concrete handicap parking area, a bulletin board with information of interest, a handicap accessible Portolet and a human/dog water fountain. There is a second large dog area entrance with its own parking area next to John’s Butcher shop (102 1st Avenue SW). Both dog areas have benches to sit on and poop bag dispensers. The large dog area has a covered bench next to the concrete restroom building. It also has a dog time out area.
